Taking advantage of the Knightsbridge location, this is the ultimate family home

Oro Bianco’s team of RIBA architects and interior designers were recently commissioned by developer Fenton Whelan to create a luxurious home for what it called ‘the contemporary nuclear family.’

With London now the established destination for families looking for a cosmopolitan centre to settle in, the brief for the team was to design ‘the ultimate family home,’ - one which would take advantage of the property’s location with a luxury that would suit its exclusive surroundings.

The potential was certainly always inherent in the property, including a master suite, four bedrooms, reception rooms, swimming pool, gym and sauna.

Everything in the home is centred around a luxurious family lifestyle. There is a large open plan living space with lavish soft furnishings and bespoke joinery, but to maximise family time together, it was designed to open out into the main kitchen and its central island unit. Interaction was actually the guiding principle, with a desire for a natural flow of movement.

Further enhancing that quality family time is a spacious cinema room, accessible by stairs, which spans the lower level of the house beneath the car port.

Luxury continues in the bathroom areas and powder room, where marble is a key element, and the corridors are lined with stunning Rosewood framing to match the property’s joinery.

Other deluxe touches include the huge mirrored wall in the dining room, the eglomise glass, and a limestone lined fifteen-metre swimming pool - something that’s definitely rare in urban Knightsbridge.
